Lisa has shared her strategies for winning in life and thinking like a champion with many wonderful groups around the world. Her keynotes will educate, motivate and inspire business people, entrepreneurs, doctors, IT professionals, managers, students, athletes and parents on finding their path to fulfillment, having the courage to get out of their comfort zone and elevating themselves to become their best self.
How? Here is Lisa’s story. “I am an 11-time Ironman Champion but more importantly, I have risen through the ranks of high school sport to amateur sport to professional sport and now into a career post sport. As a child, my family doctor told me to be less smart in school to avoid intimidating the boys. Apparently, smart girls are less attractive. My track coach told me that I had no talent. Statistics told me that I would not live past 30 since I had Cystic Fibrosis – never mind becoming a professional endurance athlete. But I ignored everyone. I took my brains, my lack of talent and my CF to the University of Waterloo. I studied math and computer science. I ran track and cross country. I became a teacher. I became a professional athlete. I raced 33 Ironman races and won 11. I got married. I wrote a book. The bottom line is that you cannot measure heart and heart opens up a world of possibilities.”
- Exceeding Expectations – Defying Gravity – Transforming Adversity into Greatness
- Courage – a woman-focused inspirational talk – Here is a link to a version of this “Courage” talk that I did for Dell’s Women in Technology Rally in November. My keynote is about 20 minutes into the Rally. https://Dell.zoom.us/rec/share/80Bh4HT1XMPmUHZ6ugFmnkNz6TxijHI6DTMKYN-zozeQLOm2f8rwUGngPPm5dwgY.MB7i15Z0wco8buiK
- Unstoppable – a woman-focused talk to build courage by focusing on process, finding purpose and finding connection in your purpose. This can be paired with the Exceeding Expectations keynote which lays down the foundation and then “Unstoppable” can be a follow-up talk at a breakout session or on another day.

“Level Up Life”. I envision it as a workshop to inspire the audience to get moving. My job is to facilitate this by sharing actionable ideas and strategies for high performance living. My vision is 20 minutes of inspiration to be their best self with some mental cues and strategies with a focus on the last strategy being to MOVE.Then the next 20 minutes outlines how to build the routine of daily exercise and how to manage injuries and take care of mobility. I demonstrate some of my “go-to” mobility and injury prevention tactics and give practical “movement snacks” from band work (easy to bring a band everywhere) to roller to lacrosse ball to move fascia. Depending on the space, there would be an opportunity for everyone to move and try some of the exercises. Then the last 20 minutes is “Ask Me Anything” – it could be “my back is sore, what do I do” or “my knees hurt, how can I exercise”.
